The application of pressure plate clamping in the machining and washing of precision parts, there are also types of clamping, which are customized according to the needs of the workpiece. The following introduces several other common clampings.

  1. Use right-angle iron to clamp the flat surface: For workpieces with a relatively wide reference surface and a narrower processing surface, right-angle iron can be used to clamp the vertical surface when washing and cutting the vertical surface.
  2. Clamping and washing the keyway with V-shaped block: Putting the cylindrical workpiece into the V-shaped block and using the clamping method of the pressure plate to wash the keyway is one of the commonly used methods on milling machines. Its characteristic is that the center of the workpiece is only on the angular bisector of the V-shaped groove, and changes with the diameter. Therefore, when the center of the keyway milling cutter or the center dividing line of the disk milling cutter is aligned with the angular bisector of the V-shaped groove. It can ensure the symmetry of the keyway on a batch of workpieces. Although the washing depth is changed during washing, the change usually does not exceed the dimensional tolerance of the groove depth.

Clamping and washing the keyway with a shaft vise: When clamping shaft parts with a shaft vise for precision parts processing, it has the advantages of clamping with a mechanical vise and clamping with a V-shaped block, so the clamping is simple and fast. The V-shaped groove of the shaft vise can be used on both sides, and the included angle is different to adapt to the change of diameter.
  2. Centering, clamping, washing and cutting keyway: When clamping with a three-jaw self-centering chuck and two centers, the axis of the workpiece must be between the center of the three-jaw self-centering chuck or between the front center and the back center. Connect online. The position of the shaft does not change due to the diameter of the workpiece. The accuracy of the three-jaw self-centering chuck is affected by the accuracy of the three-jaw self-centering chuck. If there is no new three-jaw self-fixing chuck on the indexing head and the front center is installed, the core chuck can be used to fix the workpiece between the two centers. Compared with the use of a three-jaw self-fixing chuck for clamping, this clamping method has higher accuracy in the center of the workpiece, but the rigidity is lower, and it is unstable, and assembly and disassembly are also time-consuming.
  3. Clamping with self-centering vise: This method is used to clamp the precision parts, and the position of the shaft is not affected by the change of shaft warpage. However, since both jaws are movable, the accuracy is not very high. Using these vises to clamp shaft parts is very convenient, fast and very stable. The position of the keyway is not affected by the clamping jaw and the pressure plate, but the accuracy of the center position of the workpiece is slightly worse.
